The first NYC theatre to receive the Regional Theatre Tony Award

Signature Theatre was the first New York City theatre to be recognized with the Regional Theatre Tony Award. The award was presented on June 8, 2014 at the Tony Award ceremony at Radio City Music Hall.

"Signature Theatre is an integral part of the theatre landscape. By dedicating each season to a single playwright, Signature Theatre offers audiences an unmatched explorative experience with the writer's message across multiple bodies of work. We are honored to present them with the 2014 Regional Theatre Award."
- Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League & Heather Hitchens, Executive Director of the American Theatre Wing
