Inspired by the play MY CHILDREN! MY AFRICA! by Athol Fugard, directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson which will be performed as part of the Signature Theatre’s Inaugural Season at The Pershing Square Signature Center May 1 – June 10, 2012.
Contest Details:
Create a two minute or less video argument debating PRO or CON on the following topic:
For a movement to succeed, it needs a leader.
SUBMISSION

RULES
• Applicants must create their video on YouTube
• Length of video: 2 minutes or less
• One winner will be chosen in the following age categories: 18 and under or 19-26 years of age.
• Membership to a debate team or society is not required
• Entries must be received by May 15.
The winners will be announced by May 22 on Signature Theatre Company’s Facebook Fan Page. Some videos will be chosen and posted to our Facebook Fan Page and on the Signature Theatre's website. The amount of “likes” per video will be taken into consideration for the prize winner. Applicants should “Like” Signature Theatre Company’s Facebook Fan Page to get updates about the contest.
TWO GRAND PRIZE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Well organized, thought-out statements
• Original statements (not plagiarized)
• Presentation value (respectful, poised)
The winners will be selected by select members of the Signature Theatre staff. The winners will be announced on www.facebook.com/SignatureTheatreCompany and will also be notified by email.
