HOUSE MANAGER
Signature Theatre Company, one of New York City’s premiere Off-Broadway theatres, seeks part-time House Managers to establish a welcoming environment for all audience members and to ensure the smooth run of performances. Applicants must be personable, patient, able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills. Must be willing to get fire guard certification and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Responsibilities include:
 Managing a rotating volunteer usher staff in ticket taking,
directing seating, program distribution, and concessions coordination.
 Distributing assisted hearing devices and providing assistance
to patrons with special needs.
 Working in tandem with the Box Office to solve any seating issues that
may arise.
 Updating the fire log, and informing patrons of the emergency exits in the
theatre.
 Communicating with Stage Management throughout performances to
ensure a punctual start time, and to be the liason between
Stage Management and front of house.
 Keeping a detailed House Management Report during each
performance to update Administrative Staff.
Flexible schedule, but availability to work nights and weekends is a plus. Prior experience in House Management or front of house operations preferred. Reports to the Box Office Manager. E.O.E. DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE FOR INSTITUTIONAL GIVING
Signature Theatre Company, one of New York's leading off-Broadway theatres, seeks a Development Associate for Institutional Giving. Reporting directly to the Development Director, this position will be responsible for writing grant proposals and administering all grant contracts and reports, assisting in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of institutional donors, and managing the institutional giving calendar. This is an opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing, premiere non-profit theatre, and for the right individual, presents tremendous growth potential.
Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in institutional fundraising; possess exceptional writing and interpersonal skills; be detail-oriented and work well under deadline; have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and manage multiple projects and priorities at once. Proficiency in Tessitura (or comparable fundraising software); and knowledge of/passion for theatre preferable. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. E.O.E.
